On the outside, you have these amazing new LED headlights and these life-changing LED fog lights. Those pathetic Audi-driving tailgaters will be in for a treat: LED taillights straight outta the F30 LCI facelift!
On the inside, you have... the same interior as before. But with iDrive 5.0. iDrive FREAKING 5.0! WITH A TOUCHSCREEN AND ROTARY CONTROLLER THAT WILL WOW YOUR (nonexistent) FRIENDS LIKE NEVER BEFORE.
You also receive a magnificent sliding cupholder lid, as per the F30 LCI. Pre-LCI owners know the pain of the removable lid that you would just store in the glove box and never think about again.
But wait, there’s more! An all-new B48 engine in the 330i GT, the same one in the LCI, that produces a mind-blowing 248 hp! Or opt for the B58 engine in the 340i, which ekes out a mystical 326 hp.
Pricing will probably start slightly above the $43,000 of today. Take that price and tack on an extra $995 for Destination and Handling. In other words, this car costs too much.

Cool article, though I never really understood the concept behind the BMW Gran Turismos myself.

I saw this earlier, and was happy when it was compared to the older version. I do care.

Thanks for the compliment!
I myself don’t understand the purpose of them. This article was half-sarcastic yet half-serious; I care somewhat about this minutiae, but it’s nothing to make a big fuss about, hahaha.
Personally, I would consider a 3GT over a standard 3 because it has SO MUCH LEGROOM OMG WHY CAN’T BMW JUST SELL THE 3 SERIES Li HERE.

Exactly!
As for solving the legroom problem…
- Find a used E38
- ???
- Profit
Keep making half-sarcastic/half-serious articles btw, they’re fun to read.

Love the write-up. Very enthusiastic!
I love the color and the interior and the led all the things upgrade, but I just can’t get behind this car. The styling of the GT (not just the 3 series, either) just isn’t for me. Nothing wrong with you liking it, though. We all have opinions on what we like and don’t like and that’s ok!

I like the concept a lot except for one thing - they’re apparently lifted an inch or two to make for easier ingress/egress. Its aimed at people who are stuck between car and suv I think

Ya, but I prefer my cars new with legroom, and preferably warrantied if it’s a BMW. Thanks by the way; I’ve got another “sarcarious” article coming up, though it’s about something that’s a few days old. Pretty sure no one here would know or care about it!

Thank you very much! Personally, I don’t like the 3 GT’s looks either, but it beats those of the 5 GT and has MANY LEGROOMZZZ. I'd prefer a 4 GC if they had more legroom.

You’re welcome! Yeah the 3 just looks off to me. Of the three, I would pick the 4 series since it actually looks ok from the side compared to the other two. Plus dat color.

I test drove the 3GT before picking up my 4GC, I can tell you from experience the legroom in the back of the 4 is not the issue, the headroom is. That and it is tough for a taller person to get in and out of it. The 3GT has neither issue, the back of that thing is cavernous. That being said, the Gran Coupe just looks so much better to me. With the benefit of not having to be x-drive, the 4 was the one I chose.

We have a 3, F30 328xi sedan. I usually sit in the back, and legroom is not the best. Apparently the 4 has even less, otherwise that would be my first pick!
